The legendary hip-hip record store Deal Real opened its doors in 2002 at 3 Marlborough Court. Carnaby was the place to showcase defiant style. Numbers 22, 23 and 40 survive from this phase, though they have since been refronted.

The Shakespearean public House, which still stands today on the corner of Carnaby Street and Foubert’s Place was built in 1735. If you are travelling by car, be aware that Carnaby Street is pedestrianized so you will have to park your car on Brewer Street, Whitcomb Street or Berners Street, or at the NCP Car Park at Grosvenor Hill. Much like the rest of the area, restaurants, shops and bars along Carnaby Street tend to be quite expensive, but that’s the price you’ll have to pay to shop and dine in one of the most fashionable areas in London!
